Mr. Hugh E. Thompson, Sr., was my music teacher for 13 years.
He taught me so much about music, but only after I stopped formally taking lessons, after I had matured enough, did I realize that intertwined with his music instruction were timeless teachings about life. Thank you, Mr. Thompson, for not only being my music teacher but also a lifelong mentor; thank you for inspiring a part of me to be a musician, an artist, a part of me that would have remained undiscovered without your mentorship and friendship.
